Arlo & the power of the circle
The Arlo bag was inspired after spending time in a yurt and finding a book about 'living in the round.' The free feeling of living in a space with no corners started the idea for the Arlo ~ a bag with no straight lines ~ only round ones.
"The circle reflects the movement of the moon, planets, the universe, atoms and the seasons. The circle is a dance, an arc. There are few straight lines in nature"
~ John Nance
"The power of the world always works in circles, and everything tries to be round...Nature creates in circles and moves in circles. Atoms and galaxies are circular and most organic things in between. The Earth is round. The wind whirls. The womb is no shoebox. Where are the corners of the egg and the sky?"
~ Tom Robbins, Even Cowgirls get the Blues
"There is something about the very shape of the circle that provides us a glimpse into wholeness, unity and divine order of the universe. The circle is a reflection of the world's - and our own - deep perfection, unity, design excellence, wholeness and divine nature."
~ Michael Schneider, A Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe
