Handwoven Vessels
Introducing the new addition to our homewares collection: Handwoven vessels from Frome based textile artist Rosa Romeo.
Rosa creates handwoven tapestries and textile pieces. Her practice combines themes around gender, the body and politics.
Rosa studied printmaking and is a self-taught weaver, she uses tapestry weaving as a tool to engage in slow craft. She is forever inspired by her late mother's dedication to heritage and crafts.
Her latest collection delves into the concept of the 'empty cup,' using weaving and three-dimensional forms to explore themes of fragility and resilience.
Rosa’s work reflects a deep connection to heritage crafts and honours ancient & artisanal textiles, with 5% of profits supporting Indigenous groups.
