Every piece is handmade by Fleur in Brockley, South East London with the aim to produce high quality, long lasting pieces ethically and sustainably.

Being aware of the environmental impact on the planet by the textile industry only vegetable tanned leather, reclaimed leather and organic materials are used.

All orders are packaged without plastic.

Vegetable tanning dyes the leather without any chemicals which can be harmful to the surrounding environment. Vegetable tanned leather will also biodegrade after many years unlike chromium tanned or even PU leather which is made from plastic.

The tannery I buy the leather from in Tuscany only uses animals that arr by-products of the meat industry.

You can find more information about the tannery here.

The reclaimed leather is sourced from warehouses where dead-stock material would otherwise be discarded. We use this leather to make one-off designs or a small collection of pieces.
All the hardware is from a UK manufacturer which is one of the last places in England that makes these pieces in a traditional, hands on way.
Only vintage or organic fabrics are used to make all the non-leather products and all fabric is guaranteed fair-trade and GOTS certified.
