Couper et Coudre is a collection of handcrafted made to order and one-off designs, consciously created with an emphasis on natural and sustainable materials.
Every item is handmade by Fleur in Brockley, South East London.

Since graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Textile Design in 2012 Fleur worked in different areas of the Interior industry before starting her own collection of handmade handbags in 2018. Couper et Coudre comes from the French verbs meaning 'to cut' & 'to sew'. The name gives a nod towards her philosophy; thoughtfully designed products with attention to detail.

Fleur makes leather handbags and accessories using vegetable tanned leather and organic materials. With a desire to create items that will become better with age but will also biodegrade at the end of their lifetime.

Working in her home studio, everything is designed, cut and sewn by her. Many of the designs are made using traditional hand tools and sewed completely by hand. Using this approach unique pieces are created every time with a personal connection to every design.
